Millie was the first puppy born in Danica's second litter and we immediately said it was a successful litter. We had a brindle girl out of Danica! When Larry and Janie Mellinger came to visit our house and the puppies, she caught their eye. Originally thinking they wanted a boy, they couldn't get Millie out of their minds. Millie also immediately warmed up to them and we all felt it was meant for Millie to be their girl.

Not their first Bouvier, the Mellingers also wanted to experience dog shows and felt that Millie was a very important part of our breeding program as well for Vanleighof Bouviers. Although Millie's first foray into the show ring was less than desirable, her owner Larry worked with her, took her to handling classes, and she started to grow up and realize that dog shows can be a lot of fun.  She  picked up a couple of single points during the Shoreline Cluster in December 2016 and sat our again until May 2017. Her first weekend back, Millie had to remember what dog shows were about. Her second weekend back, Millie amazed us all. During the Mission Circuit weekend with supported entries by the Southern California Bouvier des Flandres Club, Millie was awarded Winners Bitch and Best of Winners all 3 days she was entered, which earned her a 5-point, 4-point, and 3-point major. And the next weekend? Millie was awarded Winners Bitch and finished her championship under judge Mr. David Alexander.  Still a little in shock, Larry and Janie are overjoyed that their sweet girl is now a champion and hopefully bringing about another generation of Bouviers in another year or so.

Millie makes us all very proud, lives in southern California, and is co-owned by Rod and Pilar.
